For those who have never experienced an auction group on Facebook we can give a quick rundown so you don't feel lost when you join up and find something you want.

During live auctions every seller will be slightly different from each other but otherwise it all works roughly the same. Seller will put items up and say either a starting bid or a claim price.

Claim means if you're the first one to say "Claim [name of item]" it's yours, but remember, Facebook live has lag and what you see on screen could have happened over a minute ago, so claim quickly since whoever comes first on their screen is the only thing that matters.

When it comes to bidding you have to keep the lag in mind as well, sellers will often count items down after so long, so being the last and highest bidder is the only way to win by the time they hit zero. When bidding it is best to put "[Name of item] [bid amount]" so the seller knows what you are bidding on.

Sellers will often ask for "lag tests" which only helps you if you do it. They will watch the chat and yell out who comes in. So the best way to keep an eye on your lag time is to ask for a lag test and count from the time you hit send until the seller says they see your comment.
